When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and password (stored securely using bcrypt hashing). We do not collect or store any payment information, as FootballTop11 is free to play.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain your account
- Display your team name and scores on leaderboards
- Send important service updates (no marketing emails)
- Improve the platform based on usage patterns
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Authentication uses JWT tokens with automatic expiration and refresh.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies only, and we do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, third-party analytics or browser fingerprinting. There are four: an access token cookie and a refresh token cookie, which keep you signed in; a short-lived security cookie that tells our servers a request came from a real page on this site; and a visitor cookie that holds a random identifier so we can count how many quizzes have been played on this browser today and apply the free-play allowance. The visitor cookie is not linked to an account, is not shared with anyone, and holds nothing about you beyond that identifier.
